During the biggest Blancpain GT race event on the race calendar – Spa 24 hours – teams gathered at the eagerly-anticipated press release held by Stefano Ratel of SRO to get an insight into the 2017 calendar.
The Endurance Cup will still hold 5 race rounds during the 2017 season and kick-off like they did in 2016 at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in April. The Kaspersky Motorsport team will re-visit Silverstone in May for Round 2 of the 2017 Blancpain GT calendar.
The third round will then take the team to Circuit Paul Ricard for a 6 hour battle and 1,000km of GT racing in June. The exciting and grueling Total 24 Hours of Spa will retain its place in the calendar for the last weekend in July, as the team will race through the night around Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
Lastly, Round 5 will see the biggest change on the calendar for 2017, where the team will head to Barcelona to finish the season, hopefully on a high.
